Innovation Hub is embodied to make strategic interventions to develop a benchmark startup and incubation support system in Uttar Pradesh. The main objective of Innovation Hub is to inculcate the entrepreneurial spirit in the youth and drive them to be the Changemakers of the Society. It is intended to be a Startup Center of Excellence for all the Startup Ecosystem Enablers to develop an end-to-end Innovation and Entrepreneurial Startup Ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh by creating a roadmap from “Ideation-to-Commercialization”.
The Innovation Hub will work on Hub and Spoke model and will provide the state-of-the-art infrastructure and world-class lab facilities to the innovation centers and to the students, startups and incubates across the state of Uttar Pradesh. Incubators recognized under the UP-Startup Policy 2020 will work under a Hub & Spoke model; Innovation Hub, will act as a Hub for the Center of Excellences (CoE) and for the other satellite incubators (spokes) in the state. Incubators that shall develop rich experience and strong capabilities in the field of incubation shall be nominated as the ‘Navratna Incubators’. The Navratna incubators will also work closely with the Innovation Hub to assist in capacity building of satellite incubators to set-up at the district-level. Innovation Hub to be the Nodal Authority for all the programs, events to be conducted along with the Startup Nodal Agency in Uttar Pradesh. It will focus on commercializing new technologies, prototype research and development, patent filing, and creating new jobs, thereby strengthening the economy. This Innovation Hub is facilitated by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University with an advisory board of experienced and eminent industrialists, an executive committee of dedicated directors, and a dedicated incubation and startup specialist team with support staff.
