Navbodhi Agri Solution LLP has developed Banana Fibre Boards that can be used in various applications like, False Ceiling, Partition Boards, interiors etc. with an objective creating rural livelihood using local resources at local level. The board is being developed from the BANANA Farm Waste i.e. Banana Stem in District Kushinagar. The Banana Firbe is an ODOP of the district as well. The fund from HDFC Foundation will support in accelerating the eco system involving farmers, Self Group Women and we as Industry Partner. The eco system is supporting in utilizing the farm waste alongwith creating an additional income to farmers, alongwith generating livelihood opportunity for rural women by involving them in fibre extraction from the stem and also stiching them together so that it can be processed through resin bath and heated hydraulic press , converting it into boards. The fund will be used for establishing machines at various villages working as sub centers for fibre extraction and fibre stiching providing livelihood opportunities. The complete system will work as hub and spoke model , our industrial unit as a hub and rural sub centers as spoke. The Social Impact of the product is both in backward and forward linkage of the product lifecycle. In the backward cycle it increase the livelihood and income of Farmers and SHGs alongwith reducing the farm waste. While in forward linkage the fibre boards recued the use of traditional plywood subsequently reducing the tree cutting and its side effect. Also, we are developing Bio Degradable Resins giving an edge to our product with other products in sustainable development.
