We want to give you a brief overview of 3 problems we are passionate to solve: 1. More than 100 million tonnes of agricultural waste like rice husk and wheat straw is burnt annually in India that adds to air pollution and causes significant degradation of soil fertility 2. Every year consumption of food take-out boxes and packaging material made from polystyrene, and other variants of plastic, is increasing manifold. Such products are non-biodegradable and made of toxic materials. In India, about 15,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated each day that ends up in unmanaged landfill sites leading to GHG emission. 3. Our kitchen cabinets are full of tableware made of ceramic and glass, surprisingly, that is also non-biodegradable and never decomposes. This is dumped in the landfill sites after we discard them. If the solid waste is dumped at the current rate, 1,240 hectares of land would be required every year as a landfill site. We propose to manufacture re-usable and natural tableware using bio-degradable materials, especially focusing on agricultural waste that is otherwise burnt. After we scale the business and create brand-equity, we also intend to produce consumer packaging goods, toys and home utility products.
