We are creating a supply and demand driven responsible supply chain connecting rural with cities, that will help the consumers to get quality and authentic consumable products by reducing their miles and can provide a marketplace for the farmers to sell their produce without middlemen. We have 2 kinds of outlets i.e. mobile & static and deals both on sales and procurement. The mobile outlet reaches the doorstep of consumers on a regular time slot to sell around 300 essential household items including the vegetables, staple products, FMCG products etc. and simultaneously involves in procuring the farm produce directly from the farmer’s doorstep. However, in the case of a static outlet, a consumer or a farmer can access it as per their need. These outlets involve both in sales and in strategic procurement of the farm products directly from the farmers through its AI/ML based procurement modules. This digital automation will not only bring the automation & transparency in the procurement system but also make the supply chain robust and fast. To reduce the farm wastage, Villamart is also working to implement low-cost solar operated cold/cool stores at the block level, which will also help in price stabilization.
