The surge in cardiac diseases is straining the healthcare system, particularly in rural areas where access to heart treatment is limited. Even when patients find hospital beds, they face high risks due to poor monitoring. The financial burden of treatment adds stress to families, while the broader economic impact drains national resources. Lack of affordable cardiac health tracking devices leaves millions in India without proper heart health management, emphasizing the urgent need for innovative solutions to enhance cardiac care access and monitoring for everyone. The solution, we are developing, centers on our proprietary biosensor chip, addressing current import and technological limitations in continuous heart monitoring. This chip will feature multiple IP blocks designed for various applications, including an optimized power management block allowing 3-4 weeks of use on a single charge. Wireless charging technology will also be developed, so patients won't need to remove the device. Captured biomarkers will be analyzed by proprietary AI/ML models, providing emergency alerts and health reports via web and mobile apps, enabling real-time tracking by patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Currently, companies like Philips and GE Health, along with a few smaller firms, import similar solutions to India. However, the cost of using these imported devices is prohibitively expensive, often exceeding ?10,000 for just a week of monitoring. Moreover, many of these products still rely on manual interpretation of ECG data by technicians, which means they cannot provide real-time insights—an essential feature for preventing critical cardiac events. Sophrosyne Innovation Lab’s solution aims to change that. It will be the first in India to incorporate edge computing, allowing AI models deployed directly on the device to interpret patient vitals in real time. This not only enables automatic detection of critical health patterns but also ensures emergency alerts are instantly sent to both the user and their medical support team, providing a true real-time monitoring experience. There are two revenue streams baked into our business model. First we will sell the complete solution to hospital with upfront pricing for cardiac patch units and subscription based pricing for Remote monitoring software. The subscription will be based on the number of users licenses procured by the hospital. In the B2C segment, we will sell patches through ecommerce and offline retail channels.
